Introducing the Safety Lifestyle Program

We are excited to be working in collaboration with Integra Aerospace on a new initiative to promote safety training, including human factors, in a fresh and engaging way.

The reason that fundamentally we encourage and promote safety and consideration to human factors is so thatultimately everyone one of us can return home safely to those we love at the end of our shift.

We have been working with Integra Aerospace over the past year and they have recently launched the Safety Lifestyle program that they've bespoked for us here at VAA.

Over the coming weeks you'll see some more posts that introduce this program as well as direction on how you can access it.

The main way that this program will involve you include:

1. Accessing the courses they have created for us that focus on Expected Standards and Human Factors
2. The courses will be delivered in two parts:
   • Online - where you'll watch short presenter-led and dramatised films
   • Class - where you'll spend time going through the activity-based course that compliments what you cover online
3. Quarterly Safety Lifestyle Events - Three short videos that will bring you up to the minute Podcast style delivered videos, VAA specific, related incidents, human factors and safety leadership topics

The Human Factors continuation training will be part of this program, although I will be involved in delivering the company specific examples in the classroom session that Integra Aerospace lead to begin with.

We do safety well here, however, let's continue to Lead in Safety by embracing the content that Safety Lifestyle will partner with us in.
