• Target Audience: All Operations and Maintenance Personnel requiring Human Factors Continuation Training, including post-holders, managers, supervisors, certifying staff, technicians, mechanics, technical support personnel, quality control/assurance staff, and specialised services staff.
• Regulatory Compliance: The course is intended to satisfy the mandatory recurrent training requirement for all EASA Part 145 approved organisations. It fulfills EASA regulatory guidance, specifically IAW EASA GM1 145.A.30(e), and addresses UK CAA requirements for continuation training.

• Objective: To apply Human Factors principles to hypothetical, relatable scenarios and foster open discussion on psychological safety.
• Case Study Review: Delegates analyse detailed fictional biographies of relatable MRO personnel, identifying potential Human Factors influencing their performance and well-being. This includes evaluating characters dealing with common industry challenges such as increased management responsibilities, balancing part-time work with childcare, and adjusting to demanding commutes or changing work environments. 
• Integrated Short Topics:

• Professionalism and Integrity: Developing competence, honesty, and strong moral principles required to do the job safely.
• Lack of Assertiveness: Finding the middle ground between a passive style and an aggressive style, and practicing saying "STOP" if uncomfortable.

• Objective: To encourage self-assessment and determine personal, manageable strategies for mitigating immediate HFs.
• Personal HF Identification: Delegates identify the specific Human Factors directly affecting them in their current work environment and personal life.

• Pressure: Recognising the difference between actual pressure (deadlines) and perceived pressure (assumptions).
• Stress: Identifying domestic stress (home life) and work-related stress, and managing them via coping or defense strategies.

• Norms: Identifying accepted ways of working, analysing the 1979 DC10 crash caused by negative norms (using a forklift for an engine change), and reinforcing the use of approved data. 
• Responsibility: Balancing individual responsibility with group responsibility, while guarding against the diffusion of responsibility and "social loafing". 
• Complacency: Recognising how self-satisfaction and repetitive tasks lead to an "it will never happen to me" belief. 
• Situational Awareness: Fostering the habit of pausing to make a quick mental assessment of the working environment and potential threats. 
• Tasks: Evaluating task complexity, physical challenges, and required tools before starting work. 
• Teamwork: Generating synergy where the team's output is greater than individual efforts, balancing leadership/followership, and resolving conflict by determining "what is right," rather than "who is right".
